Privacy Policy

ON Technologies Pty Ltd ("ON Technologies", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile applications and visit our website (collectively, the "Services"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of our Services.


1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you create an account or use our Services, we may collect:

  • Name and email address (for account creation)
  • Username and profile information you choose to provide
  • Goals and preferences you set within our applications
  • Communications you send to us, including support requests

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Services, we automatically collect certain information, including:

  • Device information (device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers)
  • App usage data, including features accessed and time spent in-app
  • Crash reports and performance data
  • General location data (country and region level only, derived from IP address)

1.3 Screen Time and Device Usage Data

Our applications may request access to device usage information to provide core functionality. This data is processed locally on your device. Aggregate statistics (such as total time saved or weekly progress metrics) may be synced to our servers to power features such as progress tracking, streaks and social leaderboards. Individual per-application screen time breakdowns are never transmitted to our servers.

1.4 Purchase Information

In-app purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation of transactions but do not have access to your payment card details. Purchase history may be stored to restore purchases across devices.


2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our Services
  • Personalise your experience and deliver content relevant to your goals
  • Process transactions and manage your account
  • Send you notifications you have opted into, including progress updates and reminders
  • Monitor and analyse usage trends to improve our applications
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Respond to your enquiries and provide customer support

We do not use your personal information for advertising purposes and we do not sell your data to third parties.


3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

3.1 Service Providers

We may share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Services, subject to confidentiality obligations. These include:

  • Cloud hosting and database services (Supabase)
  • Analytics services (PostHog — we use a privacy-first configuration)
  • Payment processing (Apple App Store / Google Play)
  • Push notification infrastructure (Expo / Apple Push Notification Service / Firebase Cloud Messaging)

3.2 Social Features

If you use our social or friends features, certain information will be visible to users you connect with, including your username, streak, weekly progress metrics, and your in-app character. You control who you connect with. Your individual app usage breakdown is never shared with other users.

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or in response to valid requests by public authorities (including courts or government agencies).

3.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.


4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our Services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hey@ONTechnologiesptyltd.com. Upon verified request, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.


5. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where applicable under local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.


6. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, and access controls limiting who within our organisation can access your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.


7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: The right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: The right to request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: The right to request deletion of your personal data
  • Portability: The right to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

  • Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, the right to withdraw it at any time

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.


10. Push Notifications

Our applications may send push notifications to your device. You can opt out of receiving push notifications at any time through your device settings. Note that opting out may affect certain features of our Services that rely on notifications.


11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending a notification through our Services. Your continued use of our Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
