ON Technologies Pty Ltd ("ON Technologies", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile applications and visit our website (collectively, the "Services"). Our applications include Reclaim and Renew: Quit Porn for Good. Where a practice applies only to a specific app, we say so. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of our Services.
When you create an account or use our Services, we may collect:
When you use our Services, we automatically collect certain information, including:
In Reclaim, we also collect in-app product interaction data (features accessed, screens viewed, and aggregate product events) via analytics. Renew does not use any third-party analytics or tracking software and does not collect product-interaction analytics.
Our applications can help you limit your own use of apps and websites that you choose. To do this, we rely on your device's built-in screen-time frameworks (Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls on iOS, and Usage Access / accessibility frameworks on Android).
Your measured screen-time data never leaves your device. On iOS, any per-app usage is rendered inside an Apple-controlled, sandboxed view for your eyes only — our app code never receives those numbers and never transmits them. The apps you select to limit are identified on iOS only by opaque tokens that we cannot read and never upload.
In Renew, the content blocker uses Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls to block adult websites and, optionally, to schedule limits on apps you select. This blocking happens on your device. We do not monitor, collect, receive, or transmit your browsing history or a record of the sites you visit. You grant this permission yourself through Apple's system prompt, and you can turn it off at any time.
In Reclaim, the "time saved" statistics shown in the app and shared with friends are not measured screen time. They are estimates derived from the typical daily usage you self-report during setup and how you stick to the limits you set. Only these derived estimates — never your measured screen time, and never a breakdown of which apps you use — are synced to our servers to power features such as progress tracking, streaks, and social leaderboards.
Our applications offer optional in-app purchases. In Reclaim, these are one-time purchases of virtual cosmetic items. In Renew, these include auto-renewing subscriptions (Renew Pro monthly and annual) and a one-time lifetime purchase. All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions in Renew are managed through RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider, which receives your purchase and receipt data together with an anonymous user identifier so that your entitlements can be restored across devices. We receive confirmation of transactions but do not have access to your payment card details.
Renew lets you keep a private journal of urges, relapses, reflections, and wins. The written content of your journal entries is end-to-end encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM before it is uploaded, and cannot be read by us or by our service providers. Certain non-identifying metadata you select (such as an emotion category and general time-of-day) is stored without encryption so the app can show you patterns and so your AI coach can offer more relevant guidance. Because Renew concerns recovery from pornography use, some information you provide may be considered sensitive; we handle it accordingly and never sell it or use it for advertising.
Renew includes an AI recovery coach ("Kai"). When you chat with Kai, your messages and limited derived context (such as your current streak and the non-encrypted pattern metadata described above) are sent through our secure backend to our AI provider, OpenAI, to generate a response. This content is transmitted only to generate coaching replies. Your encrypted journal text is never sent to the AI provider. We do not permit this content to be used to train third-party models.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not use your personal information for advertising purposes, we do not run advertising networks in our applications, and we do not sell your data to third parties.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
We may share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Services, subject to confidentiality obligations. These include:
In Reclaim, if you use social or friends features, certain information will be visible to users you connect with, including your username, in-app character and cosmetics, streak, level, and your derived weekly and daily "time saved" estimates. You control who you connect with.
In Renew, the community ("Connect") is anonymous. Posts and replies you choose to share are displayed to other users under an anonymous handle, never your real name or email. You can report content and block other users. All posts and replies pass through automated content moderation before they are published. Your journal entries are private and are never shared with other users.
Across both apps, your measured screen time and the identities of the apps you limit are never shared with other users.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or in response to valid requests by public authorities (including courts or government agencies).
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our Services. You can permanently delete your account and its associated data at any time directly within the app, via Settings → Delete account. This removes your account and the data associated with it from our systems, including your profile, app state, content you have created, and connections.
You may also request deletion by contacting us at hey@ONTechnologiesptyltd.com. Upon verified request, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Renew is intended only for adults aged 18 and over, and includes an age gate during onboarding. We do not permit or knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use Renew.
Reclaim is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where applicable under local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child or from a minor in the case of Renew, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls limiting who within our organisation can access your data, and, for Renew journal entries, end-to-end encryption on your device so that the content is unreadable to us. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hey@ONTechnologiesptyltd.com. We will respond within 30 days.
